Fireproof

I saw the movie last night and really liked it. Of course the movie is useful for ongoing marriages, but it is also useful for premarital counseling. The movie shows how bad things can get in a marriage and how sacrifices must be made to heal a troubled marriage. In the past, I have had difficulty getting couples in premarital counseling to focus on anything but the wedding. This movie will help them see how marriages can gradually turn ugly. I plan to use it when I counsel couples in the future.
